Trivandrum it training center is biggest among all and TCS is planning to open training center in similar city which will have capacity to train 50,000 It professionals every year.
TCS is operational at Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Gurgaon, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Noida, Tiruvananthapuram locations too. Above mentioned locations are offshore delivery centers (ODC).
About tcs ilp
ILP is a training and development program designed by TCS for all new associates. The aim of ilp program is to enhance your skills by providing technical, soft skill and business skills training. After ilp, you will be deployed to real time projects. The time period of this training is 90 days i.e. 3 months. In these 3 months, you have to learn online modules, give assessments, attend many seminars and complete project in team.
Along with all these learning, you will also make new friends for lifetime and enjoy new city and state if your ilp will not be scheduled in your home state.
What preparation you can do before joining ilp?
Foremost, keep all your documents ready as mentioned in tcs joining letter. Revise the Aspire chapters once. Make sure you have all the documents and passport-sized photographs with you. If any one document is missed out, you won’t be able to continue your training. So, on safer side check all your documents thrice!

Ilp Hyderabad experience
Accommodation, Food and Transportation @tcs ilp Hyderabad
If your batch is not premapped, then TCS will provide accommodation nearby office only. Here, premapped means your base location is same as your ILP location. The accommodation provided by tcs is well furnished flat. The amenities included in the flat are tv, wooden cupboards, study table, sofa set, mirrors and purified water. To cleanup your rooms, maid will come on alternate days.
Near tcs ilp Hyderabad accommodation, many places are there where north Indian food is available. One of them is “Jodhpur House”. The ilp centre is in Q-city which is at walking distance from the accommodation. It hardly takes 3-4 minutes to reach the centre.
Even if you are premapped, then nearby in 1-2 kms there are many PGs available which charges 4000-8000 Rs. depending on the amenities included.

1st day of tcs ilp
On your first day, make sure you are properly dressed and be on time. 1st day at ilp is very hectic but you’ll enjoy being there.
Documents needed on 1st day:
• Joining letter
• All notarized and self attested documents
• Passport-sized Photographs
First you have to attend a Welcome session and then there are 2 Initial Readiness Assessments (IRA-1 and IRA-2) which will decide whether you will continue your training or not.
IRA-1: It is exam based on Aspire modules and very easy to clear if you have read aspire once. IRA-1 result is very important; if you failed to clear it then your ILP will be rescheduled.
IRA-2: IRA-2 is adaptive exam and is not that important. But if you score high in this assessment, you will get a chance to opt for Differential Training/ Fast track ILP. In differential learning, you will be shifted to previous batch and your training period will be 10-15 days less than your current batch.
Ilp training curriculum
Tcs ilp is a based on virtual learning system i.e. no faculty is going to come and teach you. Whole ilp material is provided on an online portal (ion). The whole training is divided into 2 parts: Technical and business skills. The business skills sessions are same for all the batches.
Technical Skills
In technical training, there are total 5 streams-BIMP, Assurance, UNIX, Java and .Net. The technical sessions are taken as per the streams.
Based on your stream, you have to first learn the concepts. You will be given certain time period to learn the concepts and after that you have to give one MCQ based test and one coding based test. All these are called diagnostics. You will often hear this word in ilp.
There are three phases: Passed, Remedial and Lap. If you fail in any of these, you have to appear for re-test. And if you fail to clear the re-test, you will be placed in remedial phase. And if you fail to clear the remedial through-out the ilp also, you will be in Lap. In lap phase, your training period will extend for 15 days.
After all diagnostics are over, based on what you learnt you have to develop one complete project. At the end there are two more exams. One is PRA and second is Exit Test. The score of PRA will decide your ILP ratings. And to get your release letter, you must clear the Exit Test.
Business Skills (Soft skills training)
And now comes the Business skills sessions. These sessions are like refreshments. These sessions help us to know our strengths and weaknesses, how good you are at team work and business ethics and it also enhances your personality.
In Business skills, 2 types of diagnostics are there – Speaking skills and Writing Skills. Total there are 4 assessments of business skills throughout ilp. In starting days, there are 2 assessment- 1 speaking skills and 1 writing skills and it is called pre-diagnostics. After your project development, you have to give presentation for your project. And this presentation is your final speaking skills diagnostics.
Most important, behave well and don’t take final business skills diagnostics lightly because behavioral lap and business lap are the worst.

Those who were selected Under EIS(Engineering and Industrial Services) stream what type of technical training do they undergo??
Initially EIS people will learn basic programming concepts in 1st phase and in 2nd phase, you will learn 1 of the mentioned tools:
PRO-E(designing software), CAD, CAM, CANOE, CANape, C, Solidworks, RTOS, Ansys, CAN analyzer, visual basics, Ematrix, Auto code generation.
After Ilp, EIS people may work with following industry sectors:
Automotive, Aerospace and defense, Hi tech and telecom, Energy and utilities, Industrial machinery, Life sciences and medical devices
I have been mapped under EIS stream and have to attend my ilp at trivendrum in the coming month. But I’m worried because even though being from EIS and mechanical being my branch, in the tech lounge I have to learn about JAVA UNIX ORACLE and C. Does it mean I will be doing programming and IT related works in future?

No, you can't change your stream.
Is IRA1 and IRA2 based on Aspire only or techlounge as well?
Ira1 is based on aspire and ira2 is based on techlounge. I hope this helps.

I have been selected by TCS via campus recruitment. I want to know if there is a possibility of getting EIS because the streams that were offered to me were Java .net etc.

You have to complete atleast one course completion quiz to get reset option.
I am premapped at TCS ILP Hyderabad but my family is having big financial crysis at my home city, so is the any way to change my base location during ILP training?
Yes, You can request HR. If your concern is genuine, they will definitely consider it.

Don’t be scared. Revise aspire modules once; ira is very easy.
May I know what are the timings of ilp in Hyderabad……Some are saying that they are according to batches 7-1 and 2-9 is this true??Thanq in advacnce
Usually, for all those who got TCS accommodation timings were 2-9 and for rest 7-2. But if your batch isn’t divided into 2, then timings would be 7-4.
Sir, what I should study for IRA 1? Which module should be focused. Which type of question they will ask. There is lot of syllabus in aspire. I completed my aspire quiz with so much difficulty as my background is non-cs. Your guidance will help me in preparation.

Yup..You can apply for transfer after ILP.
